THE OSTEOPATHIC FOUNDATION AWARDS £36,800 IN STUDENT GRANTS
In 2024, the Osteopathic Foundation (oF) awarded £36,800 to support osteopathic students in completing their education. These grants were made possible by a generous donation to the oF from the Dr Ratcliff Scholarship Foundation.
Four higher education Institutions were awarded funding. Each assessed the students’ applications and put forward those most in need and at risk of discontinuing their education due to economic constraints, to receive a grant.
Organisations supported through the initiative include the University College of Osteopaths, the London School of Osteopaths, the Plymouth Marjon University and the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy (BCNO Limited) Group.

Manuel Enzon, a London School of Osteopathy student, said of the award, “I am so grateful to the oF for this support and opportunity! This grant will allow me to balance my work life and university life much more efficiently without sacrificing lectures or precious study time. It gives me the extra boost of confidence and enthusiasm to face this coming academic year and build the foundations to become the best possible osteopath!”
A student from the Osteopathy programme at Plymouth Marjon University also expressed their gratitude: “I am profoundly grateful for the grant the Osteopathic Foundation gave me towards my final year tuition fees. Retraining to become an osteopath has been a wonderful and challenging journey, and this financial help in my final year is a significant support that will help me complete this course with more peace of mind. Thank you!”.

These investments inspire all those involved in the field. They reflect the oF’s unwavering mission to advance osteopathic practice by funding development, education and research, while promoting productive relationships within and outside the profession.
