Membership survey: Your views shared

Each year, we invite our members to complete a survey to assess their satisfaction with the iO, our work on behalf of the profession and the services we provide. The results directly inform how we continually improve the value and support we offer you.
This annual survey seeks members’ perceptions of the iO and its services, along with opportunities to provide additional comments. This year, we received an 8% response rate, and we’d like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time out of their busy schedules to complete this invaluable survey.
Satisfaction with the iO remains high
Overall satisfaction with the iO stands at 80% – up from 75% in 2024 and significantly higher than the 66% recorded in 2019.
Perception of the iO Membership as offering value for money has also increased year on year (72% vs 63%).
Our highest-rated services
Osteopathy Today magazine was once again the highest-rated service, with 83% rating it as either good or excellent. This was followed closely by our CPD articles and Professional Liability Insurance, both of which were rated highly by 75% of respondents. Additional valued services include the Running Your Practice Hub resources and the CPD webinars and video libraries.

What would you like to see more of?
We received a wide range of responses to this question. Unsurprisingly, many called for increased promotion and advocacy of osteopathy, an area the iO continues to invest in through public advertising campaigns and policy engagement at both national and regional levels.
Following the success of last year’s popular webinar series, there was a strong interest in more online CPD, webinars and professional development opportunities. We are now exploring how we can build on our CPD offering to continue supporting your professional development needs.
