iO Awards 2026
Nominations opening soon!

Published 26 June 2026

Following the resounding success of the 2025 iO Awards, this year’s refreshed categories broaden the scope of recognition, ensuring we better reflect the full range of contributions, impact and excellence across the profession. With nominations opening soon, get ready to put forward your submissions.

The iO have introduced two new categories: Educator of the Year, recognising outstanding contribution to osteopathic education, and the Ambassador of Osteopathy Award, celebrating those who actively promote, advocate for and raise the profile of osteopathy beyond their formal role.

The aim remains to celebrate and elevate the dedication, impact and achievements of osteopaths across the UK. The awards provide an important national platform to recognise the individuals, practices and teams helping to shape and strengthen patient care, leadership, education and research.

This is your opportunity to shine a spotlight on individuals, teams or practices making a real difference. Think about those who have inspired you, gone the extra mile or made a lasting impact. By sharing their story, you will help raise the profile of osteopathy, inspire others across the profession, and celebrate the excellence and dedication shown every day.

The 2026 categories will include:

  • Practice of the Year
  • Associate of the Year
  • Educator of the Year
  • Ambassador of Osteopathy
  • Innovation and Impact
  • Collaboration and Community Impact Award
  • Rising Star

iO CEO, Dr Alison Robinson Canham, shared her enthusiasm for the return of the Awards: “Hosting my first awards ceremony last year showed me the incredible heart of our profession. As we prepare to open nominations very soon, I am thrilled to continue this tradition of honouring the vital impact osteopaths make every day. Start thinking about the achievements you want to celebrate.”

Whether you are delivering excellent patient-centred care, supporting colleagues, developing new models of practice, championing the profession, or making a meaningful difference in your community, this is an opportunity to share your story and be recognised. We encourage everyone to get involved this year.

Start thinking about who you could put forward for nominations. More information about the categories, criteria and nomination process will be available soon.
