iO Awards 2020

Despite the challenges faced during 2020, the iO is committed to celebrating the best the profession has to offer.

To reflect the changing landscape of recent months we have adapted this year’s awards. We will have two awards for which we are seeking nominations.

  • Community of Practice
  • Outstanding Care During COVID

We will still be acknowledging the rising stars of the future – with an award made by each of the undergraduate colleges to one of their outstanding graduates of 2020.

The iO Council will also be announcing its choice for this year’s iO President’s Medal.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your nominations for this years iO awards. NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!

This year’s awards will be judge by a panel consisting of representatives from all the main stakeholder groups in Osteopathy.

The winners will be announced at this years iO Annual General Meeting on the 20 November. We look forward to seeing you there!

Community of Practice

This award celebrates either new or existing community groups who made an outstanding contribution to the support of osteopaths by showing innovation and adaptability in challenging times, maintaining a network to offer support, communication and/or learning opportunities.

Outstanding Care During COVID

This award celebrates the individual or practice that has shown a commitment to supporting the health and care of patients, their local communities or wider healthcare services throughout the impact and challenges of COVID-19.

Rising Star

Nominated by their college, this award recognises those just starting out and the commitment they have shown to their study of osteopathy and aspiring commitment to continue the development of the profession.

The iO President’s Medal

Each year the iO Council selects someone who they consider has made an outstanding contribution to the profession.
