NASS request a speakers to help raise awareness of axial spondyloarthritis

We have spoken a lot in the past 12 months about working in partnership with the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society (NASS) and the Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC), in a bid to raise awareness of axial spondyloarthritis (axial SpA) including ankylosing spondylitis (AS), encourage shared learning and experience of treating people with axial SpA (AS) amongst professions, as well as raise the profile of the osteopathic profession generally.

In 2018 we worked in collaboration with NASS and RCC on a number of workstreams to this effect, including two regional seminars in Norwich and Bath. The seminars were extremely well received by those who attended, with presentations rated overall at 4.5 out of 5.

We are therefore hoping to hold a seminar ‘Axial Spondyloarthritis Update’ in Basildon on the evening of 16 April 2019 and are looking for a member to present the osteopathic perspective. A deck of slides will be provided that have been fully approved by iO. If you are interested in delivering this talk, please contact comms@iOsteopathy.org.

If you would like to attend the meeting as a delegate, please contact Jill Hamilton at NASS who is taking registrations on jill@nass.co.uk.
