The 2019 Intercollegiate Sports Day, co-ordinated by the ESO student union, will be held in Maidstone on 4th May. The iO will again be sponsoring this great day which sees the osteopaths of the future meeting and competing in this fun, all-day event.
The event, which is also sponsored by the Osteopathic Sports Care Association (OSCA) since 2013, and new sponsors, James Hallam the iO’s insurance providers, will see over 200 osteopathic students converging at the grounds in Maidstone for a day of games and sports.
During the day students from different colleges will be competing in several events; with the best overall team awarded the OSCA Trophy on the day.
In addition, the ESO College will again sponsor the popular bubble football while new for this year will be the iO Tug-of-War Cup, awarded to the winning team for both the male and female tug of war event.
Katie Griffiths, development manager at the iO said of the event: “This event is growing in popularity with students from all the osteopathic colleges attending. We are delighted that we can support the student union in their efforts to bring student osteopaths together from across the country. It’s an opportunity for students to meet and mingle with their peers and develop friendships.
“We want to see this event grow, with even more students attending which is why we are pleased to continue to support the sports day.”
