Osteopathic Communities Of Practice

Osteopathy in the UK is backed by a growing network of Communities of Practice (Regional societies, local and common interest groups) that provide opportunities to engage with and meet other osteopaths to share best practice, CPD, social activities and provide a network for collaboration.

If you are interested in joining a group then please click here for a list of osteopathic communities of practice and their contact details.

Would you like to start a local or clinical interest group?

The iO, in collaboration with the Osteopathic Development Group, has produced:

  • Communities of Practice, setting up and sustaining a vibrant osteopathic community

This guide to starting and running a community of practice draws on the experiences of those running successful groups and provides practical advice for both existing societies or those wishing to start an osteopathic society or group. Download your copy from here.

Bristol Osteopathic Society was recognised for the work it does for their members by winning the Community of Practice category at the 2017 iO Awards. We spoke to Tim Chapman, Chair, to find out more about this successful society.

  • Speakers’ Corner

  • Regional Societies (RCN) Forum

We have created an online forum which you can use to share your ideas, ask questions and connect with others that are involved in running local osteopathic groups.   Click here to access.
